 Is a sleepy colonial town in the delta region where time seems to have
stopped. The town is charming and live is much slower than in bustling
larger towns. Many people still walk to their destinations or take
bicycles. Pathein is a little over 3 hours drive from Yangon. There
are small workshops manufacturing monk umbrellas. The night market is
very nice; vendors sell food, groceries and fruits. If you have a
robust stomach, you can enjoy many different kinds of foods and
deserts.
Pathein is on your way if you go to either Ngwe Saung Beach or
Chaung
Tha Beach.
