FLT extension Tour "Mrauk Oo"

Yangon - Sittwe - Mrauk Oo - Yangon (by flight and boat)

Day 1. Yangon - Sittwe (by flight)
Day 2. Sittwe - Mrauk Oo (by boat)
Day 3. Mrauk Oo (by jeep)
Day 4. Mrauk Oo - Sittwe (by boat)
Day 5. Sittwe - Yangon (by flight)

Day 1. Before lunch, transfer to Yangon airport for your domestic flight to Sittwe, the capital and main port of Rakhine State. Due to the flight time, you should not proceed to Mrauk Oo same day as it can be very dangerous.
Transfer to your hotel by Jeep car (no air-condition!).
Lunch and Dinner on your own account and overnight stay in Sittwe.

Day 2. After breakfast, proceed to the river jetty to take a private boat to Mrauk Oo (around 6 hours boat trip) the ancient former capital of Rakhine Kingdom.
On arrival in Mrauk Oo, transfer to your Hotel by Jeep car (no air-condition!).
In the afternoon, you may visit to Koethaung Pagoda and other stupas in Mrauk Oo.
Lunch and Dinner on your own account and overnight stay in Mrauk Oo.

Day 3. After breakfast, visit the Mrauk Oo market, Dukkanthein Monastery and Yadana Pon Stupa.
Continue visit to the remains of walls, gateways and the Shittaung Pagoda.
You will go around in Mrauk Oo with a jeep car without air-condition.
Lunch and Dinner on your own account and overnight stay in Mrauk Oo.

Day 4. After breakfast, go by private boat back to Sittwe. On the way you can visit a Mro village (need to change to a smaller boat) and later cruise down Kaladan river back to Sittwe.
Rest of the day is at your leisure in Sittwe.

Day 5. After breakfast, visit the Sittwe fish-market and the Sittwe Cultural Museum before your transfer to the airport for your domestic flight back to Yangon
Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Yangon

An additional day in Mrauk Oo would actually be for many guests a good option!

Remark: In theory one can save on the overnight stays in Sittwe. That however would be very risky and stressful.

A stay in Sittwe / Mrauk Oo can easily be combined with Ngapali beach.
